Ramzi Cotran Young Investigator Award

Sponsored by the Brigham & Women's Hospital
and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology


The Ramzi Cotran Young Investigator Award was established by The Board to recognize
a body of investigative work which has contributed significantly to the diagnosis and understanding of human disease. The award will consist of a plaque and $5,000. The awardee does not have to be present at the meeting, and funds for travel are not included.



Nominees for the 2015 Ramzi Cotran Young Investigator Award must have been born in 1970 or later. They also must have been members of the USCAP, in good standing, for at least one year prior to receiving the award.



The application form can be found on the USCAP website at www.uscap.org. Please electronically submit each of the following to denice@uscap.org:


  1. Application form, which has been completed and signed by the applicant

  2. Curriculum Vitae of the applicant
  3. Letter from a nominating sponsor (not necessarily a member of USCAP) outlining the nominee’s qualifications for the award
  4. Supporting letter from an additional sponsor who must be a member of the USCAP



Electronic submission of all of the above items must be sent to denice@uscap.org by October 31, 2014.




Awardees will receive notification in November 2014. The award will be presented at the Business Meeting on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 during the USCAP Annual Meeting in Boston, MA.
