The companion society lecture series aims to: 1) Discuss recent advances in surgical neuropathology practice that are not covered in other venues at the USCAP meeting and that are specifically relevant to general surgical pathology practice. 2) Reach pathology trainees and pathologists who would not normally attend the AANP annual meetings or symposia. 3) Provide a venue and to promote interaction between neuropathologists and pathologists from other subspecialties for discussion of issues pertinent to practice guidelines in Surgical Neuropathology 4) Promote neuropathology education, including neuropathology fellowship opportunities, and to present information on neuropathology training or practice. 5) Enable AANP society members to address the broader general surgical pathology audience.

The lecture series will present the latest developments, practice standard issues, and challenging concepts in the field of neuropathology that are pertinent to everyday surgical pathology practice and provide information on recent advances in surgical neuropathology. The topics and speakers were selected by the ANNP-USCAP Liaisons and the Professional Affairs Committee and approved by the AANP President. |
