Utility of Small Biopsies for Diagnosis of Lung Nodules: Doing More with Less

This 76 year old man with increasing cough was found to have a 4-cm mass in the upper lobe of the left lung. A CT-guided core biopsy was performed. The patient was an 80-pack-year ex-smoker, and had quit smoking 10 years previously.
