Antonio G. Nascimento, M.D., Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN and Angelo P. Dei Tos, M.D., Regional Hospital, Treviso, Italy

The course will emphasize the differential diagnosis of small round cell neoplasms of soft tissues affecting children and adults and will provide clues for the practical approaches of such differential diagnoses. The course will be divided into two portions: the first part, corresponding to one-third of the length of the course, will be dedicated to the discussion of available ancillary techniques for the study of small round cell neoplasms; the second part will be devoted to the discussion of 8 typical cases of small round cell tumors of childhood and adulthood with emphasis on the differential diagnosis and the utilization of the previously discussed diagnostic methods. A limited number of loan sets of histologic slides will be available for advance mailing. All registrants will receive a set of transparencies after the meeting and a syllabus will be distributed at the course. (Last Scheduled Presentation)
