The first half of the course will deal with medical liver disease with topics on acute and chronic hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, iron overload syndromes, and fatty liver disease. The second half will first cover benign and malignant neoplasms of the liver with a focus on hepatocellular carcinoma and its differential diagnosis. This will be followed by discussions of pancreatic neoplasms including pancreatic adenocarcinoma and precursor lesions such as PanINS, mucinous tumors, and other non-ductal neoplasia. The final topic will be non-neoplastic problems and tumor-like lesions of the pancreas. The objectives of the individual lectures are listed in the syllabus.
