The Program committee is responsible for making decisions regarding topics for the symposium. Thoughts are solicited from the entire society. These recommendations are first presented to the Executive Board and then to the full membership for approval. The goals of this program are: 1) Present the new classification of acute and chronic rejection of the lung allograft proposed by ISHLT. 2) describe the morphologic manifestations of lung injury in non-pulmonary allografts focusing primarily on graft versus host disease. 3) Provide a clinician's perspective on management of lung transplant recipients and other recipients of allograft organs.
