| Society officers decided to present a program conveying up-to-date practical information while at the same time introducing elements of translational research which have the greatest impact on daily practice. Sarcomas can be challenging and both their prognosis and treatment quite often rely on pathological assessment. The purpose of this symposia will be to review the current role of light and electron microscopy, as ell as that of cytogenetics and molecular profiling in the study of undifferentiated and poorly differentiated sarcomas. A panel of outstanding experts will put into perspective the relevant contributions, which could have an impact in the management of patients with such tumors. |
