The members of the ASCP Annual Meeting Committee are recognized experts. They identified the need for pathologists to be cognizant of the controversies and compliance issues affecting pathology today. These controversial "gray areas of compliance" of irregular business practices are beginning to erode the profession and practice of surgical pathology. As such, the ASCP presentation was developed to increase awareness, to help recognize and to combat unprofessional business practices.
