The members of the Executive Board and Educational Committees of the two societies discussed this
joint program and topics were chosen on presumed need as determined by the expertise of the committee
members. Diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in the live is constantly changing, and the
committee members tried to address current diagnostic problems by selecting speakers known to be highly
knowledgeable in each area. The objectives are to educate the attendees regarding updates in viral
hepatitis, granulomatous infiltrates, infectious agents typically seen in immunocompromised patients, and
new emerging infections. |
