The planning group for this meeting met by teleconference on three occasions, reviewed evaluations from the 2008 meeting, and previous topics and previous presenters. After discussions, we concluded that our audience would benefit from New Advances in Orbital Pathology and Genetic Advances in Retinitis Pigmentosa. The goals and objectives for this meeting are to provide and update on new advances in ophthalmic pathology that the audience will find useful in their pathology practice. The speakers have been chosen due to their expertise in the field of molecular genetics and orbital pathology.
