Topics were selected by Barbara A. Zehnbauer on the basis of email dialogue with members of the Association for Molecular Pathology who are also members of the USCAP, initiated b y a posting in the CHAMP listserve, and considering topics previously discussed in this companion meeting.
The topics provide updates for practicing anatomic pathologists on advances in molecular pathology that have implications for the targeted diagnostics of several abnormal tissue types.
The objective is to provide updates on the molecular pathology of various metastatic cancers, molar pregnancies, and human papilloma virus in head and neck tumors that hav implications for the diagnosis and prognosis of these abnormalities.
