The USCAP-Companion meeting committee for the AAOP (Hans Grossniklaus MD, Douglas Cameron MD, and Paty Chevez Barrios, MD) discussed the reviews from the 2009 meeting, reviewed topics that were presented in prior years, and reviewed previous presenters in a series of conference calls and email exchanges. After a thorough review, we concluded that our audience would be interested in Advances in Corneal and Conjunctival Pathology. Dr. Eberhart was selected as Program Chair, and together with the committee he chose members of our organization with expertise in these topics and invited them to be speakers.

The goals and objectives for this meeting are to provide and update on new advances in ophthalmic pathology that the audience will find useful in their pathology practice. This will include presentations on new immunohistochemical marker studies, as well as discussions of new staging systems for neoplasms at these sites. The speakers have been chosen due to their expertise in these areas.
