This advanced course is designed to provide updated pragmatic, problem-solving knowledge for practicing cytopathologists and anatomic pathologists. It addresses the resolution of diagnostic pitfalls relative to each of the major organ systems studied by cytopathology/FNA. This course is presented in a lecture format by a distinguished faculty with time allowed for questions and answers and a post-test. A comprehensive syllabus as well as a CD-ROM containing illustrative PowerPoint presentations for each topic is included in the course fee. This course is intended to provide a pleasant, informal atmosphere for learning as well as opportunities for 1:1 interaction with the outstanding faculty. Continental breakfast is provided for course registrants.

Course Learning Objectives

To provide updated pragmatic, problem-solving knowledge for practicing cytopathologists and anatomic pathologists. The course addresses the resolution of diagnostic pitfalls relative to each of the major areas studied by cytopathology/FNA.
To provide an understanding of new standards, techniques, criteria, classifications, etc. in areas where past training and self-study may give less than ideal exposure.
To stimulate interest in new developments, recognize the benefits and limitations of new technologies, and improve participants’ ability to prepare for future diagnostic responsibilities by enhancing their spectrum of professional competence.

CME Credits
The USCAP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The USCAP designates this educational activity for a maximum of 17 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Self-Assessment Units
The USCAP is also accredited by the American Board of Pathology to offer Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) for the purpose of meeting the American Board of Pathology requirements for Maintenance of Certification. Registrants must take and pass the post-test in order to claim SAMs credit(s).

The course registration fee includes course fee, a comprehensive syllabus and a CD with representative PowerPoint presentations for each lecture, continental breakfasts for registrants, break refreshments and a reception on Sunday evening for registrants and accompanying persons.

Refunds of fees, less $50 administrative fee, will be made until December 15, 2007. Refunds after that date will be subject to a 50% penalty, but registrants will receive course materials.
