Course Description
This course is designed to provide updated, pragmatic, problem-solving information for practicing anatomic pathologists. It will focus on the resolution of diagnostic pitfalls in an array of difficult areas of surgical pathology including breast, genitourinary, gynecologic, practical molecular surgical pathology and soft tissue pathology. This course is presented in a lecture format by distinguished faculty members with expertise in their respective fields and experienced in post graduate educational activities at the national and international levels. Time is scheduled for questions and answers utilizing an audience response system. A comprehensive syllabus and a CD-ROM containing illustrative PowerPoint presentations for each topic are included in the course fee. This course is intended to provide a pleasant, informal atmosphere for learning as well as opportunities for one-on-one interaction with the outstanding faculty. Continental breakfast is provided.

Course Learning Objectives

To sharpen existing expertise in diagnostic surgical pathology and to present new information, recent technological advances and updated concepts that are useful in daily practice.
To provide an understanding of current standards, techniques, criteria, classifications, etc. in areas where training and self-study may give less than ideal exposure.

CME Credits
The USCAP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The USCAP designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs)

The USCAP is also accredited by the American Board of Pathology to offer Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) for the purpose of meeting the American Board of Pathology requirements for Maintenance of Certification. Registrants must take and pass (80% correct) the post-test in order to claim SAMs credit(s). These SAMs offerings address the following ACGME competency: "b. Medical Knowledge about established and evolving biomedical, clinical, and cognate (e.g. epidemiological and social-behavioral) sciences and the application of this knowledge to patient care".

Refunds of fees, less $50 administrative fee, will be made until April 6, 2008. Refunds after that date will be subject to a 50% penalty, but registrants will receive course materials.

Location & Directions
From North and East Follow I-75 South or I-4 West to 275 South into Tampa. Merge onto State Route 60 at exit 39, the Tampa Airport Exit. Take 60 and the Courtney Campbell Causeway across beautiful Tampa Bay and into Clearwater. Continue onto Gulf To Bay Boulevard to Court Street where you veer left toward Clearwater Beach. Cross the Memorial Causeway and onto Clearwater Beach. At the traffic circle take your second right on Mandalay Avenue. Sandpearl will be roughly a half a mile, on your left. Sandpearl is roughly 25 miles from downtown Tampa.

From South Take I-75 North to 275 North into St. Petersburg. Merge onto Roosevelt Boulevard via exit number 30. Continue for a few miles on Roosevelt Boulevard/East Bay Drive. Exit near the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport and continue across the Bayside Bridge. Exit the bridge at Route 60 and at the bottom of the ramp turn left. Follow Route 60 through Clearwater for roughly 5 miles. Route 60 will veer right toward downtown. Follow through downtown and cross the Memorial Causeway and onto Clearwater Beach. At the traffic circle take your second right on Mandalay Avenue. Sandpearl will be roughly a half a mile, on your left. Sandpearl is roughly 20 miles from downtown St. Petersburg.
