- Review and distinguish the various eosinophilic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract using clinical, endoscopic, and histologic criteria.
- List and discuss the diarrheal illnesses that are nearly exclusive to the pediatric population.
- Describe the histologic appearances, differential diagnosis, and clinical presentation of 'microscopic colitis' in both adults and children.
- Review the classic histologic features of celiac disease and its differing clinical presentations and histologic mimics in adults and children.
- Compare the clinical and histologic features of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and contrast these with atypical clinical and histologic features seen especially in the pediatric population.
