Definition:
The Ramzi Cotran Young Investigator Award was established by Council to recognize a body
of investigative work which has contributed significantly to the diagnosis and understanding of
human disease. The Award will consist of a plaque and $5,000. (The awardee does not have to
be present at the meeting, and funds for travel are not included.)

Eligibility:
Nominees for the 2013 Award must have been born in 1968, or later. They must also have been
members of the USCAP, in good standing, for at least one year prior to receiving the Award.

Procedure:
To make application submit each of the following:
- Application form (see below) which has been completed and signed by the Applicant

- Curriculum Vitae of applicant

- Letter from a Nominating Sponsor (not necessarily a member of USCAP) outlining the nominee's qualifications for the Award

- Supporting letter from an additional Sponsor who must be a member of the USCAP

Deadline:
The above material must be received at the USCAP office in Augusta by October 5, 2012.

Notification & Presentation:
Awardees will receive notification in November 2012. The Award will be presented at the
Business Meeting on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 during the USCAP Annual Meeting in
Baltimore, MD.
