2014 World Health Organization Gynecologic Tumor Classification: Changes Relative to The 2003 Classification

Educational Objective

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand the differential diagnosis of uterine tumors with a biphasic appearance
  2. Update attendees on the morphology, immunohistochemistry, clinical behavior, most important prognostic findings and differential diagnosis of low grade uterine mixed epithelial-mesenchymal tumors.
  3. Recognize the diagnostic features of selected spindle cell lesions involving the gynecologic tract.
  4. Generate a complete differential diagnosis and utilize appropriate ancillary studies for the evaluation of undifferentiated neoplasms in the vulva.
